The Challenge
New market. No entity. Saudi's employment complexity.
Augnito AI wanted to establish an on-ground presence in Saudi Arabia with a Customer Services Manager and Sales Specialist in place. No local entity meant they couldn't hire directly. But the challenge in Saudi Arabia runs deeper than most markets.
Employment in Saudi Arabia comes with specific statutory requirements: GOSI registration, Iqama processing, and coordination between the candidate's home country and Saudi authorities, all in a specific sequence. Getting that right without in-country expertise takes far longer than most companies plan for, and doing it wrong creates delays that stall the whole expansion.
Building a local entity before placing a single hire wasn't the right path. Augnito AI needed a partner already set up in the market who could run the full process, employment, statutory compliance, and mobility, from day one.

The Solution
Both sides covered. Candidates placed in 6 weeks.
Gloroots stepped in as the Employer of Record in Saudi Arabia, taking on the full employment and mobility process for Augnito AI's hires.
That meant covering both ends of the move. On the Saudi side: statutory employment setup, GOSI registration, and local compliance. On the candidate side: home-country documentation and processes, coordinated in parallel so no step waited on another.
Running both tracks at the same time, rather than in sequence, is what compressed the timeline. Both candidates were placed and working in Saudi Arabia within 6 weeks of Gloroots coming on board.
The Results
3 hires. On the ground in Saudi Arabia. 6 weeks.
- 3 employees placed in Saudi Arabia for a company with no local entity
- Customer Services Manager and Sales Specialist onboarded with full statutory benefits
- Home-country and Saudi-side processes run simultaneously, no sequential delays
- Both candidates placed and working within 6 weeks of engagement start
In Their Own Words
What do you like best about Gloroots?
Saudi Arabia is not the easiest market to move into quickly. The statutory requirements, GOSI registration, Iqama processing, and the home-country coordination on the candidate side, it adds up fast. Gloroots handled all of it, on both sides, at the same time. We had our Customer Services Manager and Sales Specialist on the ground in 6 weeks. Doing that without an EOR partner would have taken significantly longer and cost far more upfront.
What do you dislike about Gloroots?
Nothing significant. The process ran to timeline, both hires were set up with the right statutory benefits, and the coordination between home-country and Saudi-side processes was handled without us having to track it ourselves.
What problems is Gloroots solving, and how is that benefiting you?
We wanted to expand into Saudi Arabia but had no local entity and no experience with in-country employment requirements. Gloroots removed both barriers. They took on the EOR role, managed statutory compliance and GOSI registration, coordinated the candidates' home-country documentation, and had both people placed in 6 weeks. That's the kind of speed that lets you actually execute a market expansion.
Why do you use Gloroots services?
We use Gloroots to put people on the ground in markets where we don't have a local entity. For Saudi Arabia, that meant full employment setup, statutory benefits, GOSI registration, and coordinating the candidate-side processes in their home country, all managed by Gloroots so we could move at the pace the business needed.
