Position Overview
You'll build critical systems that enable seamless international hiring and workforce management across 140+ countries. You'll directly impact how companies scale their distributed teams through the next generation of global HR platform technology. You'll work on high-volume international data systems that handle payroll and compliance management for businesses worldwide.
Role & Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable Django applications for global payroll and compliance management
- Build and maintain RESTful APIs using Django REST Framework for multi-country operations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new features for the HR platform
- Optimize Django ORM queries and database performance for high-volume international data
- Participate in code reviews and maintain high Python code quality standards
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in Django production environments
- Contribute to architectural decisions and technical strategy for Python-based systems
Must Have Criteria
- 5+ years of Python development experience with strong Django framework expertise
- Proven experience building REST APIs using Django REST Framework
- Strong understanding of Django ORM and database optimization techniques
- Experience with PostgreSQL or MySQL database design and management
- Knowledge of Python testing frameworks like pytest or unittest
- Understanding of Django security best practices and authentication systems
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
Nice to Have
- Experience in HR tech, fintech, or compliance-heavy domains
- Knowledge of international payroll or employment law systems
- Experience with Celery for background task processing
- Familiarity with data security and privacy regulations (GDPR, SOX)
- Previous startup or fast-paced environment experience
