Position Overview
You'll lead end-to-end data science initiatives that directly impact millions of travelers through AI-powered travel technology. You'll translate complex business problems into scalable ML solutions, working closely with product, engineering, and business teams. You'll build production-ready systems that drive measurable business outcomes in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment with cutting-edge ML technologies.
Role & Responsibilities
- Own and lead complete data science projects from problem formulation to production deployment and monitoring
- Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models for prediction, forecasting, classification, and recommendation systems
- Build and optimize feature engineering pipelines working with structured and unstructured datasets at scale
- Collaborate with data engineers to create scalable ML pipelines using MLOps best practices
- Deploy models to production environments and establish monitoring frameworks with performance metrics
- Conduct advanced exploratory data analysis and communicate insights through dashboards and presentations
- Mentor junior data scientists and document methodologies for knowledge sharing across teams
Must Have Criteria
- 5-8 years of hands-on experience in Data Science or Machine Learning with production deployments
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field
- Experience working with large-scale datasets (100K+ records) and building models for high-volume systems
- Strong proficiency in Python (NumPy, Pandas, SciPy) and SQL for data manipulation and analysis
- Proven experience with machine learning frameworks (Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, XGBoost)
- Experience building and deploying ML models in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Hands-on experience with MLOps tools and practices including experiment tracking and model monitoring
Nice to Have
- Hands-on experience with recommendation systems or dynamic pricing models
- Experience with Apache Spark (PySpark) and workflow orchestration tools like Airflow
- Background in NLP and working with large language models or transformers
- Experience mentoring junior team members and leading cross-functional data science initiatives
