Position Overview
You'll spearhead a 1GW greenfield data center expansion that will define how Southeast Asia adopts and scales AI technologies. This role combines strategic planning with hands-on execution, driving the company's data center strategy from conception to implementation in the APAC market. You'll work directly with the founding team in a high-impact environment, leading strategic initiatives that shape the region's digital transformation.
Role & Responsibilities
- You lead end-to-end strategy development for 1GW greenfield data center establishment in Singapore
- You develop comprehensive business cases, financial models, and go-to-market strategies for hyperscale data center operations
- You conduct market analysis and competitive intelligence for APAC data center and AI infrastructure landscape
- You partner with engineering teams to align technical architecture with business objectives for GPU-driven platforms
- You manage stakeholder relationships with investors, partners, and regulatory bodies in Singapore
- You drive operational planning including site selection, capacity planning, and resource allocation for 1GW facility
- You establish performance metrics and KPIs for data center business unit success and regional expansion
Must Have Criteria
- 5-12 years of experience at McKinsey, BCG, Bain, or other top-tier management consulting firms
- Proven experience consulting on data center strategy and planning for 500MW+ or multi-billion dollar infrastructure projects
- Track record of leading greenfield hyperscale infrastructure or technology projects
- Experience with financial modeling and business case development for large-scale infrastructure investments
- Strong background in APAC markets, preferably with Singapore business experience
- MBA from top-tier business school or equivalent advanced degree
- Willingness to relocate to Singapore and work onsite full-time
Nice to Have
- Previous experience in cloud infrastructure, AI/ML platforms, or enterprise technology sectors
- Background in private equity, venture capital, or startup environments
- Experience with regulatory compliance in Singapore or Southeast Asian markets
- Technical understanding of GPU infrastructure and AI workload requirements
- Fluency in additional Asian languages beyond English
