Position Overview
You will define the technical architecture for a Core Intelligence platform serving 100M+ users across India. You'll architect the systems that power India's next-generation consumer AI experience at unprecedented scale. You'll lead multiple engineering teams of 15-25 engineers building AI infrastructure, model orchestration, and vector knowledge systems. This role offers direct ownership of platform decisions that impact millions of users daily.
Role & Responsibilities
- Define and drive technical architecture for multi-modal AI platform serving 100M+ users
- Lead architecture decisions for model routing, orchestration, and agent-to-agent coordination systems
- Design scalable vector knowledge systems and RAG pipelines for multilingual Indian contexts
- Establish engineering standards and best practices across AI infrastructure and platform teams
- Drive technical strategy for partner integrations enabling end-to-end workflow completion
- Lead cross-functional teams of 15-25 engineers across AI infrastructure and platform domains
- Architect observability, evaluation, and safety systems for production AI at India-scale
Must Have Criteria
- 12+ years of experience in distributed systems and platform engineering at scale
- Deep expertise with LangChain/LlamaIndex frameworks for AI application development
- Production experience with vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, or Chroma) for RAG architectures
- Strong experience with AWS, Azure, and Kubernetes orchestration in cloud-native environments
- Proven track record leading technical teams of 10+ engineers in platform/infrastructure roles
- Experience architecting systems handling 10M+ daily active users or equivalent scale
- Hands-on experience with AI model serving, routing, and orchestration in production environments
Nice to Have
- Experience building consumer AI products or conversational AI platforms
- Background in multi-modal AI systems (text, voice, vision) and multilingual NLP
- Previous experience at high-growth startups or companies serving Indian market at scale
- Open source contributions to AI/ML infrastructure or orchestration frameworks
- Experience with AI safety, evaluation frameworks, and production ML monitoring
