Position Overview

As an Applied AI Engineer (Vision/GenAI), you will build and deploy vision-language pipelines that power personalised, photorealistic user experiences at the heart of the product. You'll fine-tune generative models, design real-time inference APIs, and collaborate with product and design teams to ship AI features that feel magical. This is a founding-team-level role with direct impact on core technology.

Role & Responsibilities

• Build and deploy vision-language pipelines using Stable Diffusion, LoRA, CLIP, and BLIP for personalised user profile visuals
• Fine-tune LoRA models to generate identity-preserving, authentic representations of users
• Design and maintain scalable APIs for real-time image generation, editing, and personalisation
• Optimise generative models for fast inference, mobile performance, and cost efficiency on GPU infrastructure
• Curate datasets, manage captioning pipelines, and maintain versioned model registries
• Collaborate with product, backend engineers, and ML researchers to take ideas from prototype to production
• Work with UX and design teams to integrate image-generation flows that feel intuitive and delightful

Must Have Criteria

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with generative vision models — specifically Stable Diffusion and LoRA fine-tuning
• Proficiency in PyTorch for training, fine-tuning, and evaluating deep learning models
• Experience with vision-language architectures such as CLIP, BLIP, or Flux
• Demonstrated experience deploying ML models to cloud-based GPU infrastructure (Replicate, Hugging Face, or equivalent)
• Strong Python skills with experience writing production-ready inference code and working with versioned model stacks
• Hands-on experience with image pipelines including dataset curation, preprocessing, and captioning workflows
• At least one shipped or demonstrable project involving real-time or personalised generative AI

Nice to Have

• Prior work on face-preserving generative models, personalised avatars, or identity-consistent image generation
• Open-source contributions to vision model repositories or fine-tuning libraries (e.g., Diffusers, PEFT)
• Experience working in an early-stage startup or product-focused team with rapid iteration cycles
• Exposure to prompt engineering techniques for controllable, high-quality image generation
